The United Nations (UN) and the European Union (EU) impose international sanctions on countries, organisations, companies and individuals. These may include financial sanctions, for example. Trust offices have a role in ensuring compliance with these sanctions.
Trust offices may not facilitate payments from and to sanctioned parties, nor may they provide services to them. In the Netherlands, these obligations are laid down in the Sanctions Act (SW). With this awareness e-learning, we bring you up to speed on the requirements that the sanctions regulation imposes on trust offices and their employees.
