The Ministry
Regulations change constantly. So does the daily practice of financial professionals. The Ministry of Compliance was founded on the conviction that training courses must evolve alongside these changes. We do not believe in theory for theory’s sake, but rather in knowledge that can be applied immediately to daily work.
Originally established within Charco & Dique, The Ministry developed into a specialised training provider for compliance and financial professionals. From the very beginning, one core principle has been central: making regulations understandable and translating them into concrete, practical tools. To this end, we create courses focused on statutory obligations, as well as programmes that stem from legal requirements. Examples of these include our DSI programmes for continuous professional development and institutional investing.
Our courses are directly informed by consultants who advise our clients on these core subjects in their daily practice. Furthermore, our content aligns seamlessly with initiatives like Ruler, the compliance tool used by our clients. Where Ruler helps to make laws and regulations transparent, we help professionals work with them effectively.
Part of Projective Group since 2022
In 2022, Charco & Dique was acquired by Projective Group, making The Ministry part of a broader organisation. Projective Group specialises in providing services to financial enterprises across five countries. Our consultancy, tooling, and training mutually reinforce each other — and that is what makes us different.
What sets us apart
Our programmes build upon what professionals already know and can do. Instead of standard training routes, we offer modularly structured learning pathways that take experience, background, and sector into account.
Every e-learning module starts with a baseline assessment. Those who have already mastered the knowledge do not need to repeat it, keeping learning efficient and relevant.
Our blended programmes combine online preparation with targeted, in-depth classroom sessions. Contact moments are used for discussion, reflection, and practical application — not for repeating theory. In doing so, we follow Projective Group’s approach: practical and straightforward.
The team behind The Ministry of Compliance
The Ministry is supported by a specialised team that brings together content, didactics, and practical experience.
Together, we connect the subject matter, the target audience, and the execution. Driven by a strong sense of structure and communication, we ensure that our courses are not only factually correct but also logically structured and aligned with the learning needs of professionals. We collectively safeguard the coherence between modules, learning objectives, and practical application, ensuring that our programmes are continuously updated.

Mark van de Weijer
With over 35 years of experience in financial education, Mark is the architect of our didactic approach. He translates complex laws and regulations into clear, effective learning programmes and safeguards educational quality.

Wendy Walravens
Wendy plays a central role in ensuring our processes run smoothly and handles a large portion of daily client contact. In addition to her contributions to our standard offering, she develops specific, bespoke programmes for a number of clients.

Robert de Groot
Robert brings subject-matter expertise and practical experience in investing, compliance, and financial regulation to our programme development. He ensures that our training courses seamlessly align with the daily reality of investment professionals and other financial practitioners.
Our trainers
The experienced consultants from Projective Group’s Legal, Risk & Compliance practice act as trainers for our standard and bespoke courses. They combine years of industry experience with strong didactic skills. In addition to our internal consultants, we also work with specialised external trainers, for instance, for the skills-based component of our Compliance Officer training.
Our promise
We make regulations workable. This ensures that professionals do not just fulfil their training obligations, but actually become stronger in their profession.
