Demonstrable knowledge of the regulation to combat money laundering and terrorist financing is a prerequisite for employees of a financial institution. However, training in this area only makes sense if it is in line with your day-to-day activities.
This course helps you meet the statutory training requirements. The e-learning builds on the knowledge you have already gained about compliance with anti-money laundering regulation, for example from our AMLR Awareness course.
Target audience
This in-depth training is mainly intended for employees who are directly involved in carrying out transaction monitoring, but is also of interest to Compliance Officers.
Education level
This in-depth course is the next step after our AMLR Awareness course. This is an HBO (higher vocational education) level course. There are no specific prerequisites for this online course. However, we assume that you have at least a general idea of the requirements that anti-money laundering regulation places on financial institutions and their employees.

Upon successful completion of the programme, your understanding of the European legal requirements for transaction monitoring under anti-money laundering regulation, and the background to them, has been enhanced. You will also have practised the skills you need to monitor transactions effectively.

Course content
The e-learning starts with an overview of the legal framework. What is expected of the institution when it comes to determining whether a transaction is (potentially) suspicious? On this basis, we translate it into practice. Where possible, we use concrete examples and cases.
Baseline measurement
Each part of the AMLR Transaction Monitoring training starts with a baseline measurement to determine what you already know about the subject.

What role does the transaction profile play in transaction monitoring and how do you set up a transaction profile?
What are alerts and how do they arise?
How do you assess an alert?
How does a report of an unusual transaction proceed?
Test AMLR Transaction Monitoring
You complete this course with a test in the learning environment. You can also take any resits in the learning environment.
Certificate AMLR Transaction Monitoring
After passing the test, you can download your personal certificate from the learning environment straight away.
Study duration
You can complete the e-learning in our online learning environment, wherever and whenever it suits you. The e-learning takes an average of three hours to complete, depending on your prior knowledge of transaction monitoring.
